We’re always to eager to hear ideas for the FutureMe community. Either vote on an existing idea or enter a new one!

futureme.org should...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. how can i see the entries that ive written to other people?

    I cant click on my entries that ive written..i want to be able to see what i wrote..

  5. You should be able to read the messages that you already wrote

    If you want to change the message or if u wrote a private message and a not so private message but you don't know which is which because you wrote them on the same day...

  7. Different dates bug.

    There is currently a bug where sometimes, depending on the time of day I send the message, the default for the subject with the date in it is the day behind the day that it's sent. The default date to send a year into the future for is still the same.

    I assume this is because the date in the subject comes from is server time and the date to send to is based on client computer time as I live in Australia and this problem always seems to occur in the mornings.

  8. Integrate Facebook to be able to receive letters as a second means in the future

    If we link our facebook to the letter (seeing that facebook is there for almost everyone) Future me can send the letter to my inbox also!

  9. Under the "date sent to" tab, allow us to see the titles of the letters we haven't received yet

    You can see this under the "date written" tab, why not make it so we can see the unopened letters chronologically too?

  11. Create a wordcloud of commonly used words in letters

    I think it would be very interesting to see what some of the most common words are in letters written to the future. This is an example of a word cloud btw: http://www.whitehouse.gov/sites/default/files/other/sotu_wordle.png

  13. Don't show the older letters when I log in unless I click on a button

    I'd like to keep the older letters a surprise when I get them, but when I log in at the end to send my new 'futureme' letter, it lists all my old ones and has the date sent/to-be-delivered. I'd rather the list of older letters not show up automatically so I can totally be 'surprised' when they arrive in my e-mail!

  15. Just one photo can be attached to each letter

    Add a photo to each letter. Not more than one picture though if not it will be Instagram and won't be special anymore.

  18. Allow you to bolden, italicize, and underline your letters for more expression and clarity.

    That way we could write to our future-selves about works of literature, etc. with the proper writing conventions!
    It's also nice to be able to be able to REALLY emphasize something with the added tools.

  19. Video instead of emails

    There should be a feature where we can send our future selves a video to remember what we sounded and looked like! That way your future you can hear and see.

  20. Random date generator

    There should be a random date button, so you can surprise yourself. You can pick a time range so it doesn't come 50 years from now. For example: you can pick any where from 30 days to 1 year and then the site picks a date and you are on your merry way.
