We’re always to eager to hear ideas for the FutureMe community. Either vote on an existing idea or enter a new one!

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  2. Reduce the minimum sending time to 1 week instead of 30 days

    30 days is A LOT. I absolutely love receiving letters from my past self and some days, i realize I'm not going to get an email any time soon. Then, 30 days is heck too long. Please reduce it.

  5. more than one email addresses

    I'm planning to send for more than one addresses this mail so could I just type the email there and separate it with a comma? It would be awesome since I don't know what addresses I will keep in the future

  6. I knew it will be hard for you but i think it would be better if we could also send images and voice clips.

  8. For some of these ideas you don't think fit the spirit, simply force the user to decide before sending.

    So I've seen a few ideas here about letting people view their messages before the specified date, or change the date, or edit the message, or cancel the message. On most of these, the reason you've decided against it is that you consider it "cheating" and think it goes against the spirit of futureme. That's valid, and for the most part I agree.

    That said, I think you should still allow it, with the stipulation that the user must decide that they want to allow these things before they send it. Just have some radio buttons at the bottom and…

    wouldn't this be cool? one can record and put it up for the future.. and if the message is to be sent 2 years in the future.. one can see.. how much as he changed since then.

  17. Let me set the default date that appears when I write a letter

    Currently it is automatically set to one year from the day the letter is written, but I would like to be able to change it to one month. Thanks!

  18. wish I could post for dates less than one month away. I'd like to write to tomorrow.

    Whenever I start a new challenge (for example, NaNoWriMo or train for a 5K), it would be nice to be able to talk to me every day during that challenge, even if the decision to join is made less than 30 days from the start of the challenge

  19. Edit the email subject

    Hi, I don't want to change the email content, but would it be against the rules to change the email subject? In my case I've sent my daughter a birthday email, and I neglected to put in "Happy Birthday" into the subject line. Thanks! Love the site.

    I received a spam email straight after using FutureMe! Apparently my non existent relative John has died. Keeping in mind I have never received a spam email until now. I think it would be great if you didn't send our emails to spammers.
