We’re always to eager to hear ideas for the FutureMe community. Either vote on an existing idea or enter a new one!

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  1. make it clear they start charging. FAQ says it is free but I am no longer able to send a letter without paying them

    I wish it had been clear that I would not be able to continue writing myself letters. I probably wouldn't have started if I knew I would be forced to pay eventually. The FAQ claims it is free but I am blocked from writing letters. I'm a student and can't afford to pay.

  3. Create a button so that letters can only be read once.

    It could be very useful if you want to send a letter and you do not want the recipient to show it to anyone.

    I REALLY want to become a FutureMe premium member! But it's reallyhard for me to credit or paypal.

    I believe when it becomes available , many China Users will pay for it . I really want to contribute my money to yours website !

  8. sending mail to the future to others - multiple people

    I would love to send the mails also to other people - to multiple people. Just imagine sending emails to friends group & family. Wedding anniversary, family or friends special dates can now be even more special <3

  11. A space under the letters to let us know how things turned out for that person.

    Have a limited amount of space with a minimum time frame of a year to allow people to say if things worked out for them or not. I sometimes wonder how things turned out for that person.

  12. Data Retention Section in /Legal

    Hi there, I think there should be an explanation on your website on how long data such as pictures and text are retained for after delivery. I understand that by making the email public that you have given up the rights to the data being kept private, but what about the pictures? Does that get deleted instantly off the database after the email is delivered? How are the pictures stored- are they encrypted?

    It's been a while since I've been on this site, I'm liking the new design btw :)

  14. Remove the ability to view sent letters within 48 hours

    I use futureme.org to help with my social media addiction, sending myself my passwords in the future so that I can only access certain sites once a month. The new ability to view sent messages within 48 hours makes this method unsustainable. If there was a way to turn this off I would gladly become a paying member.

  19. Recieving anon random letters

    So it would be a section where people can write to others in the future, providing them life lessons and just sharing the love (or even sharing a joke to make them smile)

    I read a letter just before on the public area where it was dedicated to the stranger reading it. And that single letter has just helped me so much and I adore it.
