We’re always to eager to hear ideas for the FutureMe community. Either vote on an existing idea or enter a new one!

futureme.org should...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Allow more than one date/year

    Let us receive that message more than just once a year .. we choose how many times we want to receive it and you send it to us in random days

  3. sending futureme videos on the emails as well so we can then receive a more personal message as well as a formally written one

    if we could attach a video as we can an image then we could receive more of a personal video into the future too ! we could either have a ready made one or just create one on the spot via webcam

  4. Add alternative e-mail option for if we will be dead and mail won't read so send it to our friend

    What if we can't read our mail?What if we will be dead? It will be great to verification link in the e-mail so if mail couldn't read futureme.org send mail to our friends may be our son, our wife?? But why we just send mail to our son? Because may be we don't wanna share our mail if we won't be dead...

  5. New Layout

    I find it really confusing and difficult to find when my next FutureMe should be arriving. They don't seem to be in any specific order?
    a really prefered the old layout, it was a lot clearer.

  6. Filter public letters by language

    To be able to see the public letters in a certain language (for example, with a filter that allows you to choose between Italian, English, Spanish, Russian, etc), you could use https://github.com/CLD2Owners/cld2 to determine in which language a letter was written.
    For voice messages perhaps https://github.com/mozilla/DeepSpeech could be used in conjunction with CLD2.

  9. allow modification of date to be sent

    Allowing updates to the message would be useful.
    Only other option is to delete the old message and create a new one.

  11. Make a 'non delivered' mail

    It would be nice if you get a non delivered mail if the email adress was wrong or deleted. This would then only apply on emails that were send to friends because maybe you lost contact with that person. Then it is a reminder and you would pick up the phone yourself and call your friend. Do not make a deliverd mail because it wouldn't be a suprise anymore if your long lost friend calls you in the middle of the day.

    So that I can opt to send myself an email on NYE or something, and actually receive it on NYE (australia time) and not according to a different timezone.

  14. Delete our letters from google results when we delete it from our account. :(

    I deleted my letter from my account here and it's still showing up via google results. Is there a way to permanently delete it?

  16. Let us send FutureMe emails to groups to remember a moment

    So that we can use FutureMe to remember special moments with a group of people. I've been using FutureMe to send letters to future for the players that I coach to show them how they have grown or to remember momentous occassions.

  17. Facebook and email connections.

    I think it would be great to connect this with your facebook and be able to send message's from your facebook to yourself. As a safety feature you would have to also verify by the email used with the facebook account.
    I would love this since I barely use my email anymore.

    Basically future us doesn't want a load of e-mails about how idk, say it's futureHelen, she doesn't want a load of e-mails going Helen <3 Dave when she's with Gary now. So the ability to edit would be muchos helpful.
