We’re always to eager to hear ideas for the FutureMe community. Either vote on an existing idea or enter a new one!

futureme.org should...

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

  1. Read your send mails again

    I am Lil sad because I can't read them again after send them to the future. I think it's better to reread them, so you could delete them after overthink that again.

  2. Let us export the replies along with the delivered messages

    You can currently export delivered messages, but it would be nice if you also could export the replies.

    Let people send packages to the future, as in i order it now but it really comes in the mail in whenever they set the date

  4. I found a bug.

    Hello! I just found a bug that allow you to read letters before they are delivered.

    If you click in "read public letters" you will find a link like this:
    https://www.futureme.org/letters/public/xxxxxx-a-letter-from-february-20th-2019

    Now, if you go to you account and mark the traveling letter as "Public", and put your mouse cursor over your own email, you have the number of the letter. Then, if you change the public letter link to your own letter number with the deliver date, you can read the travelling message.

    Something like this: https://www.futureme.org/letters/public/YYYYYYY-a-letter-from-JANUARY-30th-2025.

  5. Allow us to add more than 1 picture.

    One picture is sometimes not enough. I want the FutureMe to live the day I am writing this letter. All that nostalgia hitting me back when I open the email. Please allow us to add a few more pictures.

  6. let us edit the letter shown on public letters versus the one you send yourself

    We should be able to omit personal information so that the letter we send to ourselves has the needed details but the letter put on public letters does not include private information.

  7. Alternative means of recieving the letters...

    Suppose we have alternative email address or means of recieving those letters, the letters are precious to heart..

  8. compulsarily ask for the photo of that moment when you are writing a letter

    while writing the letter futureme.org should ask for the photo (not from gallery) , which should be kept private even on public posts .
    As by this when futureme will recieve mail he/she could recall the memory,😉😝

  9. Let me spread the word, share on social networks!

    I've just joined, and from what I've heard this site has been online for years, so I'm amazed having just written a letter to myself that I'm not asked (after submitting the letter) to share the news on social networks that I have used your service (not the letter itself obviously). Did I miss the option?

    Perhaps also include a pre-populated message to post such as "I have just written a letter to myself using Future Me, to be delivered in [defined period] from now.

    You should definitely get an app. It would be easier cause all we have to do is click the app rather than always go on the website.

  11. send video of us or voicemail

    I would like to take myself on video because so that we can see each other a bit when we were little. And for voice messages I find it more fun than writing a letter to be able to get along

  15. A space under the letters to let us know how things turned out for that person.

    Have a limited amount of space with a minimum time frame of a year to allow people to say if things worked out for them or not. I sometimes wonder how things turned out for that person.

  18. Create a button so that letters can only be read once.

    It could be very useful if you want to send a letter and you do not want the recipient to show it to anyone.

  19. make it clear they start charging. FAQ says it is free but I am no longer able to send a letter without paying them

    I wish it had been clear that I would not be able to continue writing myself letters. I probably wouldn't have started if I knew I would be forced to pay eventually. The FAQ claims it is free but I am blocked from writing letters. I'm a student and can't afford to pay.

  20. Android app so I can easily write letters on go

    Would love a simple way to just send letters while on the go/away from a computer. Don't need to see all other features of site -- just a widget or app that lets me write, set the date and email to send, and then be ready for the next letter.
