We’re always to eager to hear ideas for the FutureMe community. Either vote on an existing idea or enter a new one!

  3. Allow us to use italics or the tab feature within the letters

    I don't know if this is already a thing, and maybe my computer just won't let me do it, but I can never seem to use the tab button within my letters. I'd like to be able to distinguish the start of each paragraph somehow, and pressing the space bar a bunch of times at the beginning of each gets rather obnoxious and time consuming. Also, being able to italicize certain words for emphasis would definitely be nice.

  4. Add survey option (Favorite color, band, ext.) that way we can see if they remained the same

    Add an option for people to attach a survey to their letter that way we can reflect. Ex:
    Gender identity
    sexuality
    favorite band
    favorite color
    best friend

  5. Check if I verified my email address for past letters

    I sent an email to myself nearly 10 years ago, and I've just sent another one a few minutes ago, and it asked to confirm my email address. I can't remember if I even confirmed my email address the last time, so I'm worried that I'll be anticipating an email just before my 28th birthday for no reason. Is there a way to check this?

  8. Add an override for the letter date (for extreme circumstances)

    I don't know how often this happens but there should be an option to solve it. I put a very important password in my letter while I wasn't thinking straight to lock myself out of my device. I now realize that was a foolish decision since the date is too far away. Maybe you can allow users to contact support for this issue?

  9. Allow a sender to respond to their public letter once sent, so readers have updates!

    I've been reading public letters, some sent as far as 12 years to the future! Many asking questions - Have I learned to play the instrument? Did my daughter go to college? Am I still at my job? Ect.. I would love to know the answers!

  10. Incorporate new technology and allow some letters to be handwritten.

    Lots of computers these days have touch screens and it could be interesting to compare handwriting styles.

  14. Remove the ability to see scheduled emails

    I would like to send myself emails that can't be cancelled or seen after being submitted. I don't like the idea of seeing a list of my future sent emails. I would much prefer to just submit them and then forget until it happens.

  15. write with multi-language

    i sent a lot of letter back in 2008/2009 when at some point they just started to turn out to be unreadable because they were written in Chinese. so basically i can never retrieve them. it's okay though. but will you fix that and make us non-English speakers easier to write with our own language plz. thank you.

  16. Allow us to add photos and images to send to your future self

    Allow users to attach photos and images to send to their future self. Who doesn't like a good laugh out of our old photos? It is fun to see them and it also reminds us of several memories

  20. Add a tab to send to "one month from now"

    When writing letters we have an option to send to one year from now, how about adding "one month from now"? That would save much time twiddling with the date...
