We’re always to eager to hear ideas for the FutureMe community. Either vote on an existing idea or enter a new one!

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.

  2. send emails to a list of people for after you've died

    You could write a small, personal letter to a best friend or loved one and send it to be recieved after you die(give or take a few months)

  3. fix a bug...

    You can still read the letters before they are delivered, just discovered it today.
    if you log in and view the list of letter that are yet to be sent, you can right click on the "delete" option and select "open link in new tab". the letter opens in that new tab.

  6. Let us choose the arrival date based on the world's different timezones.

    Because sometimes the timezone difference can alter the real arrival date.

  7. Let us be able to send this to facebook.

    This will assure me that I will receive my message that I sent for myself, It would be more fun cause it will show up all of a sudden, instead of opening my e-mail at that date just to check it, thanks.

  8. Probation period.

    Give our messages a half-time probation. So, say I send a message 12 months into the future I can still read it for up to 6 months, and have until then to decided whether I want to change anything in it or cancel t completely. But, maybe let us only change the message once or something.

    what if we could send our letters to our younger siblings so that even when we have moved away, gone to college, or are no longer here, we can keep giving them advice and remind them they're important for years to come.

    be able to send to multiple emails at once so you can send a christmas email to friends and family at once instead of doing individual ones to save time

  11. let a user specify a time frame and frequency for random delivery of the letter.

    An example. The user could specify: for this letter, send it to me [3] times sometime between [1] and [3] [months] from now.

    I'd use this to repeatedly remind myself about some insight. The random nature of it perhaps opens the door to some synchronicity or serendipity.

  12. sending futureme videos on the emails as well so we can then receive a more personal message as well as a formally written one

    if we could attach a video as we can an image then we could receive more of a personal video into the future too ! we could either have a ready made one or just create one on the spot via webcam

  13. Mirror the preview from camera while making photo

    Just flip horizontally the preview from the webcam when user trying to make selfie. It is much more intuitive to see your reflection instead of your face as it seems to the camera.

  15. Futureme.org should not be allowwed to delete letters sent ever!!!!!

    My letters are getting deleted..and I have paper copies..but I dont want to retype..becausr of the specific dated that are involved..

  16. Extra time before letter 'locks'

    It would be nice to have 1 week to edit a letter's message and date to be sent before it becomes locked. Currently, if you notice you have the wrong date on it, if you delete it, you lose all of your work.
